It’s that time again – back to school – and with that comes a refresh on food allergies. Even though our son will return to the same elementary school, he’s moved up to the next grade with a new teacher and he’ll be mixed in with many classmates he hasn’t met yet. If you want to help your child with food allergies, communicate with his or her teacher and share your knowledge. Walk through your emergency action plan with your child’s teacher, the school nurse, and cafeteria personnel. We’ve received most welcome assistance from our son’s new teacher, who has placed this FAAN poster in her classroom of nine and 10-year-olds. Here’s to a healthy school year for all.
Chowder for the Wolf at the Door
When 10 pounds of potatoes and a couple dozen ears of corn show up unannounced, welcome them home to the chowder pot. After transforming our
